Carving Pumpkins and Bowling...

I met up with Ms. Sarah in North Platte this weekend. North Platte, Nebraska is our 'halfway point' (no, not the movie).
We weren't sure what we were going to do when we got there. Even a call into a friend that grew up there resulted in little help.
Since we are both Gemini, we figured we could be creative.

It was a fun and very quick time.
It was cold, I had a bit of a cold.
It rained, we got drenched. There is nothing like trying to open the passenger side of a blue cavalier while being drenched only to realize that the car isn't yours. In the rain, my car and this car looked pretty much a like.

We bowled two games, had two cups of coffee, carved two pumpkins, and shared one pumpkin pie.
We ate at the Depot Grill & Pub where there was a live piano player. Sarah gave her a tip!
We visited the mall which luckily had a bookstore, although no books were bought. The other bookstore was closed by the time we stumbled onto it.

The journey was long for both of us driving four hours both ways.
I had a few books on CD which seemed to speed up the journey – there and back.

More thoughts TBA as they come to me...
