John Piper quote...

My sister quoted this on her blog:

"The only life I have left to live is future life. The past is not in my hands to offer or alter. It is gone. Not even God will change the past. All the expectations of God are future expectations. All the possibilities of faith and love are future possibilities. And all the power that touches me with help to live in love is future power. As precious as the bygone blessings of God may be, if He leaves me only with the memory of those, and not with the promise of more, I will be undone. My hope for future goodness and future glory is future grace."

Soul Cravings...

I'm currently reading Soul Cravings by Erwin Raphael McManus.
While looking up what others have said, I found this quote from book that I haven't gotten to yet.

"Home is ultimately not about a place to live but about people with whom you are most fully alive. Home is about love, relationship, community, and belonging, and we are all searching for home."

What if...

Over the weekend I checked out Butterfly Effect II (the original was better - yet both were a bit odd). I've always been intriqued by time changing films like the Back to the Future trilogy and other 'what if' movies like Mr. Destiny and The Family Man and It's a Wonderful Life.
(What other movies am I missing that are similar to the movies above?)

If you had the ability to change one thing in the past, what would you change? What would you not change? (I'm still thinking)

"Some of the best lessons we ever learn are learned from past mistakes. The error of the past is the wisdom and success of the future."
~ Dale E. Turner
