Last night, Eric & I went to check out an acoustic show at the Whisky Roadhouse at the Horseshoe Casino in Council Bluffs... the performers: Richard Marx and Matt Scannell (of Vertical Horizon)
Playing simultaneously, it was obvious how talented these two are. It both looked as if they were enjoying performing. Marx would play one of his songs and Scannell would play along and then they switched. The both even played new songs. I'm all about a concert where I know each of the songs.
I'd go see them again. I'd buy a CD if they came out with one. The songs were great. The acoustic guitar work was incredible. The harmony was top notch.
Richard Marx's voice doesn't seem to have changed a bit. His songs brought back memories of elementary school and junior high. It reminds me of playing "Right Here Waiting" during my 6th grade talent show. The duo did a much better job last night.
