Surprise who?

Driving to work this morning I heard a commercial for Petsmart (I think).

The ad was trying to get pet owners to buy something, "... and surprise your pet."

I thought, "what?" - did they just say, 'surprise' your pet?

What is next? Throw 'em a surprise birthday party? They'll never know!
